Bill Edgar

Bill Edgar graduated from the VSF in 1946, and then gained the Dip.For.Vic. based on the development of a Working Plan for the Chiltern Forest.

He spent time in Assessment, Fire Protection, and then at Delatite, Scarsdale, Beaufort and Corryong. He was appointed District Forester (DFO) at Beechworth in November 1953, and served as DFO Erica from September 1958 to May 1962, DFO Nyah to June 1965 and DFO Neerim to September 1968.

Appointed as Assistant Divisional Forester at Horsham in September 1968, he became Divisional Forester In Traralgon in November 1972. From 1983 until 1988, when he retired, he was the CFL Regional Manager for Yarram.
