Glen Kile has contributed to forest science in Australia over the last 40 years. Firstly, through original research in forest health and biosecurity in Australian forests and in leadership and management of forest industries research and development as Chief of CSIRO Forestry and Forest Products from 1992-2001, and secondly as Executive Director of the Forest and Wood Products Research and Development Corporation (FWPRDC -now Forest and Wood Products Australia (FWPA)) from 2002-2008.
