Alfred John Leslie



A VSF Graduate of 1941. After postings to Neerim, Taggerty, Woods Point, Delatite and Gellibrand (as DFO Otway West) he resigned from the FCV on the 15/3/1951. He was with APM Forests from 1951-1958; Melbourne University from 1958-1964 as a lecturer and senior lecturer; the University of Ibadan (Nigeria) from 1964-1966 as senior lecturer; from 1966-1968 in Canberra as OIC of regional stations at the Forest Research Institute; from 1968-1974 at the FAO Rome as Forest Economist; from 1974-1976 he was a Reader at Canterbury University (New Zealand); from 1977-1981 Director of Forest Industries at FAO, Rome; from 1981-2008 a consultant for FAO and ITTO.
