Royal Commission Visits This District
24 February 1939
The Royal Commission on Bush Fires sat at the Court House, Mansfield, on Thursday of last week, when the Commissioner (Judge Stretton) heard a repetition of the same evidence which was placed before him at previous sittings in other places, namely, that the dirty floor of the forest was a menace to adjoining lands and should be burnt off regularly at suitable periods.
