On Wednesday some excitement was caused by a copperhead snake, more than 3 ft in length, at the home of Mr and Mrs H Street (off Fowler Street, Moe). Disturbed from beneath an old iron chimney, we are informed that it passed between Mrs Street’s legs and took refuge in the fernery. Here a neighbour (Mr Jones) succeeded in killing it.
