Research Branch Report No. 037
A preliminary study of dieback in Eucalyptus pauciflora at Davies Plain Ridge. B.K. Ward and R.J. McKimm. August 1973. 13 pp. (unpubl.)
SUMMARY
This report describes a survey undertaken to determine the agencies responsible for the dieback of approximately 6,300 acres of Snow gum (Eucalyptus pauciflora) at Davies Plain Ridge near Omeo.
It is concluded that dieback of the Snow gum is the result of the combined effects of Paropsis augusta and wood boring larvae of the Cerambycidae and Xylonychidae families.
